With reference to the Board's letter of

the 12th instant requesting the deportation of Teng Tzu-yu from Hongkong on the ground that he is actively stirring up trouble in the South of China, I have the

honour to inform Your Highness that I telegraphed in

that sense to the Hongkong Government and am now in

receipt of a reply from the Acting Governor to the

effect that Teng will be banished from the Colony.
